Avenged Sevenfold Vocalist On Recovery And New Music

You may recall that Avenged Sevenfold was forced to cancel their summer tour with Prophets Of Rage and Three Days Grace after vocalist M. Shadows suffered a viral infection that left him “voiceless.” Fans will be glad to know that there’s finally some good news from the band.

For starters, M. Shadows is on his way to a full recovery. In a statement, the singer says that his vocal cords “look good again” after two months of refraining from talking and singing. With all that time off, he says the band has been cooking up some new material. “I could probably tour after Christmas or so but we are going to work on new songs instead,” he reveals.

Not only that, but the band has also released a new EP, “Black Reign,” containing four songs they recorded for the upcoming “Call of Duty: Black Ops 4” video game. Shadows shares that although they’ve made music for the last three “Black Ops” games, they weren’t asked to make anything for the new one until fans requested it on Twitter. Fans can stream and order the album HERE.
